Youth Justice Schools

Two new Youth Justice Schools, run by Ohana for Youth, will be established in South East Queensland and North Queensland, supported with $40 million in Queensland Government funding.

The Youth Justice Schools will provide a project-based curriculum with specialist teachers and extracurricular activities, including 12+ hours of daily supervision five days a week, to enhance educational outcomes and reduce reoffending.

The specialist schools will work with high-risk youth offenders on Youth Justice orders, including community service orders, police cautions and diversions or bail.
