Victims Advocate Service
The Queensland Government has committed $50 million across five years and $10 million per annum ongoing to establish and deliver a new Victims Advocate Service for Queenslanders impacted by crime, with the service set to commence in 2026.
The service will provide targeted support pathways and resources to guide victims of crime from the start to the end of the justice process. It will also connect victims of crime to existing support services.
The Victims Advocate Service is being designed with input from victims, victim support groups, and stakeholders to ensure the design of the service meets the needs of victims of crime in Queensland.
Victims Advocate Service engagement process
An online survey and in-person consultations across Queensland were conducted between June and September 2025 to help shape the development of the Victims Advocate Service.
