Individual grants of up to $300,000 are available for early intervention programs that focus on addressing early criminal behaviours and reconnecting young people with education, training and employment opportunities.

Across the next 4 years, $50 million in funding will be committed to the program, which will pilot the best new ideas that contribute to restoring community safety and reduce the number of victims of crime through regionally focused, community-led initiatives.

Round 1 2024-25 of the early intervention Kickstarter Grants are now open!

If you’re a non-government organisation who can deliver initiatives that focus on reducing crime and identifying and addressing the range of risks and needs for young people, you’re encouraged to apply for $300,000 in individual grant funding.

Grant-funded initiatives will help repair young people’s relationships with family and kin, teach them that anti-social behaviour carries consequences, while also providing connections, guidance, and discipline to get them back on track.

Applications close 8 May 2025. For more information, visit www.youthjustice.qld.gov.au/kickstarter.
