Working together to make a difference

The 83 Review recommendations have been grouped into work programs:

We plan to implement the recommendations across the next 3 years. As the work programs progress we will engage and collaborate with a variety of organisations and individuals. This will take place in a number of ways, including working groups and direct consultation.

Working groups

Groups of staff from different areas of Youth Justice, particularly youth detention, who have experience and knowledge relevant to work programs will help to implement the recommendations. Some working groups will include partner agencies.

These groups will gather information and feedback from other agencies and community organisations to find the best way to address recommendations and any related issues.

Working groups report their progress to the steering committee and the Assistant Director-General, Youth Justice.

Direct consultation

We will have face to face meetings with some of our partner agencies, to discuss recommendations that directly relate to the work we do together.
