The Department of Youth Justice has 5 regional areas:

  • Northern Queensland
  • Central Queensland
  • Moreton
  • South East Queensland
  • South West Queensland.

Northern Queensland

The Northern Queensland region includes the following youth justice service centres:

  • Cairns
  • Mount Isa
  • Remote (based in Cairns)
  • Tablelands and Cassowary Coast (based in Atherton)
  • Tablelands and Cassowary Coast (based in Innisfail)
  • Townsville North
  • Townsville South

Central Queensland

The Central Queensland region includes the following youth justice service centres:

  • Bundaberg
  • Central West (based in Emerald)
  • Gladstone
  • Hervey Bay
  • Mackay
  • Rockhampton

Moreton

The Moreton region includes the following youth justice service centres and services:

  • Brisbane North
  • Brisbane South
  • Caboolture
  • Maroochydore
  • Moreton/Redcliffe
  • Western Districts (based at Forest Lake)
  • Youth and Family Support Service

South East

The South East region includes the following youth justice service centres:

  • Logan
  • Mermaid Beach
  • Redlands.

South West

The South West region includes the following youth justice service centres:

  • Charleville
  • Cherbourg (based in Murgon)
  • Ipswich
  • Roma
  • Toowoomba.
